      Absolutely. This is one of the underlying problems of district governance. The staff mislead the board frequently and the board doesn't have the time or resources to call them on it.

        Open only one month, and you're ready to call JA a flop? I think that's terribly unfair. JA did attract a fair number of Kindergarteners and 6th graders. It's only to be expected that a lot of families who are already enrolled in another school are waiting and seeing.

        An immersion program could be a big draw, too. I'd certainly consider it for my child.
